VERICANT: Beijing-based Vericant, which offers a video interview platform that helps admissions officers at North American schools evaluate the spoken English proficiency of Asian applicants (mostly from China), has raised an undisclosed Series A round led by Shunwei Capital, with Angelvest and other individuals also participating. The company currently lists 12 American colleges 51 K-12 schools in the U.S. and Canada as clients.
