CLUSTERFLUNK: We're still unsure whether this is the best or worst name ever for an edtech startup. Iowa City-based ClusterFlunk closed a $100K seed round for "a virtual meeting place that allows college students to collaborate on assignments and prepare for exams," according to the Silicon Prairie News. Discussions and uploaded materials are archived for future students to access. The six-months-old startup is "made for the students, by the students," say the founders in this intro video. Apparently, it's named by students, too (who, to their credit, can throw some pretty mean parties).
