K16 Solutions Raises $1.5 Million Seed Round to Improve LMS Migration Software

OK COMPUTER: K16 Solutions, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based provider of software to help educators move from one learning management system to another, has raised $1.5 million in seed funding. Investors include Annette Catino, founder and former CEO of QualCare Alliance Networks.

Founded in 2016, K16 plans to use the money toward software development, hiring and paying existing employees, according to Phoenix Business Journal. The company signed its first paying customer, Synergis Education, in April and expects to be profitable next year.

Other notable edtech companies from Scottsdale include NoteBowl, Parchment and rSmart.
