Online Learning Company BenchPrep Rakes In $20M In Series C Round

BENCH PRESS: BenchPrep, a company that offers a platform to build online courses and programs, has raised $20 million in a Series C round led by Jump Capital and Owl Ventures. Previous investors NewView Capital and Revolution Ventures also contributed, which brings BenchPrep’s total amount raised to $28.2 million.

Based in Chicago, BenchPrep offers a platform for education providers and training organizations to create and deliver online learning programs. The company also offers program management and technical support, data analytics for providers to track learners’ progress, and ways to incorporate strategies like gamification and competency-based learning into curriculum.

The company claims that more than 3 million students have used BenchPrep tools. The company’s clients include ACT, Hobsons and McGraw-Hill Education, and in 2018 it formed partnerships with major training organizations including the Association of American Medical Colleges, the Association of Supply Chain Management and the American Institute of Architects.
