EXTEMPORE, a St. Paul, Minn-based company behind a speaking app used by K-12 and higher-ed institutions for oral language practice and assessments, has raised $420,000 in a seed round led by Minneapolis’ Syndicate Fund. Founded in 2015, Extempore claims its app is used by “nearly 10,000 foreign language teachers and their students,” according to its press release. The funding will help the company boost its marketing and sales efforts.
