Idaho's Tool for Making School Data More Accessible

Nov 9, 2016

DATA FOR DAYS: Representing statewide school and district data isn't always easy. But this week, EdSurge is geeking out over a tool that compares different districts in the state of Idaho. Called Idaho Ed Trends and pulling in data from the Idaho State Department of Education, Idaho State Board of Education, National Center for Education Statistics and National Student Clearing House, the tool includes data on: 1) student achievement, 2) per-pupil spending, 3) student demographics, and 4) college go-on rates, organized by district. Idaho has added additional information to the tool over the years, including SAT scores and student-teacher ratios. Hey, other U.S. states—inspired to create something similar?
