Metro-Nashville Public Schools Share Best Practices on Data-Driven Decision Making

Feb 11, 2015

NOTHING TO HIDE: Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) has teamed with the nonprofit Data Quality Campaign to release a video detailing practices for incorporating data in school decision making. According to THE Journal, practices MNPS shares include:

  • Team meetings for support and intervention, in which teachers and support staff use common planning time to discuss student data;
  • Chats providing students an opportunity to discuss their own data with teachers and principals; and
  • Parent chats during the evening to help parents understand their student's data and how they can help them
