Forbes contributor, George Anders reports that MasterCard is among the list of bigwig corporations that will be offering employee training programs through the Mountain View, CA-based startup. It's a reminder that as many online learning providers continue experimenting to improve student learning outcomes, going the corporate route may offer the most viable, short-term option when it comes to revenue. (Coursera's move is not as dramatic of a shift as that of Udacity, whose course catalog is now heavily influenced by what its partner companies want.)
