LINGUISTIC GOLD: Duolingo, an online language-learning website founded by the creator of reCAPTCHA, offers courses in Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese and Italian. The content consists of your typical vocabulary flashcards, sentence translations, and audio clips. Every now and then, however, Duolingo coaches students with the darnedest phrases, such as "Moment, der Bär kommt" ("Just a minute, the bear is coming.") There's an entire Duolingo Twitter handle devoted to these oddities. Boy, some of these are harsh!
