MOBENTO: £1.1 million (around $1.7m) in seed funding to Tech City (London)-based Mobento from angel investors, reports The Next Web. Founded by a fresh-faced 22 year old New York native, Mobento offers "a video learning platform turbo-charged by a 'spoken word' search," which allows users can search within videos for keywords and skip to the specific moment when they are said. It currently offers videos for a variety of content--from astrobiology to technology--from sources like TED, Khan Aacademy, NASA, and even a high school.
