Google Unveils "Rugged" Lenovo Chromebooks

Jan 18, 2013

THINK CHROME: Google announced that Lenovo's new ThinkPad X131e Chromebook will be available starting February 26 this year. It's being advertised as a "rugged" laptop built with hinges and rubber casings to withstand the rigors of being manhandled by students and teachers. The extra hardiness comes with a heftier price tag of $459 (which includes the $30 management console and support fee); by comparison, other Chromebooks from Acer and Samsung run $229 and $279, respectively. We can only wonder if it's as tough as this.
