Free! TERM.LY puts a subtle twist on your standard online dictionary/thesaurus. In addition to providing standard definitions and synonyms, Term.ly allows users to "scale the hierarchy of language," finding more or less specific words related to a given query. It's a bit like randomly clicking through the thesaurus function in older versions of MS Office, but the chances are much higher that you find the word in question on your first try! Also in beta form, is a browser plug-in that allows users to invoke the service on any highlighted word of a web page.
