A ROYAL CHEESE: A new petition on WhiteHouse.gov is calling for an end to the Imperial Unit as the nation's standard system of measurement. In the age of instant calculations, it's a bit of a stretch to claim the "chaotic arrangement of the Imperial System slows things down for us" but mechanical engineers around the country are definitely keeping their fingers crossed -- Metric units are just nicer. Put in your two cents by January 30th if you prefer Big Macs.
