Tute Raises 'Significant' Funding for Small-Group Online Tutoring

TUTE: UK startup, Tute, announced on its blog that it has closed "a significant investment" from Leaf Investments, a Dublin, Ireland-based early stage investment firm that focuses on edtech. Existing investor, Holidaybreak Plc also participated in the round, but terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2011, Tute offers an online platform where students in schools or homes can engage in live, small-group sessions with tutors. The company says it has worked with more than 300 schools and 110,000 students.
