Natalie Pennington joined the New York City Department of Education in 2009 and is the Director of Communications & Strategy for the Knowledge Sharing team. Before joining the NYCDOE, she wrote and published foreign policy reports, op-eds, and articles for a progressive think tank in Washington D.C. She has spent her career writing and editing and believes that explaining complex topics in ways that people can understand is her life’s work. Natalie lives in Queens with her husband and young son.
