Young Scientist Challenge
Apr 19, 2012
The 2012 Young Scientist Challenge is a video submission contest for students grade 5-8. Entries must detail a new invention that solves an everyday problem around the way people move, stay healthy, or make a difference. Videos must demonstrate “understanding of a scientific concept” and don’t require coaching or high production quality --- cell phone recording will suffice. the 10 finalists will be paired with 3M scientists to virtually collaborate on an innovation project over the summer -- talk about a resume builder! The 10 final projects will be judged by a panel of experts to determine the 2012 Top Young Scientist and recipient of $25K. Other prizes and details here.
