Emerge Education Applications Open - 4th Cohort

Emerge’s mission is to shake up education for the better, by developing a rich ecosystem of innovation within the education industry.
They run a 3 month accelerator programme which boasts partnerships with progressive school-chains, educational institutions such as Oxford’s Saïd Business School and Eton, and giants such as Oxford University Press and TES, the largest teacher network in the world.
Emerge sources edtech startups from around the globe and readies them for scale. Selected startups receive:
- beta testing and accelerated customer acquisition via a broad network of educational institutions
- the opportunity to pitch to, and learn from, the largest educational publishers in the world
- expertise from educators and successful edtech entrepreneurs
- access to UK’s most active edtech investors
- desk space in Edspace, London’s hub for education startups
- £15k living stipend
A powerful alumni network is afoot. It comprises trailblazers such as Bibblio who curate the web’s best educational content - they recently won the EdTech20 award for innovation; Meducation, a social network used by over 30% of UK’s medical students; DoodleMaths, the UK’s most downloaded primary maths app, and A Tale Unfolds which, in the 5 months since joining the programme is used in over 1000 schools.
£500,000 has been invested in 19 EdTech companies, who have gone on to raise more than £3m and impact many thousands of learners worldwide.
Applications open April 1 2015 at emerge.education and close on May 31st 2015. Selected companies will commence the 3 month programme in mid July.
