TEACHERS' PERSPECTIVE: A new documentary, American Teacher, will debut in NYC this Sunday, looking at teachers who are in the trenches working closest to the issues in our educational system. Based on the sardonically titled book, Teachers Have It Easy (and narrated by hunk-turned-teacher's best friend, Matt Damon), this film aims to push back at the notion that teachers are "..over-protected recipients of Cadillac benefits..." says the NYTimes.
