NY KNOTS: Two policy decisions made last week have NY state teachers tied up in knots over teacher evaluations. Two-time Math for America master teacher fellow, Mr. Gary Rubenstein, gives the deets in the Daily News, pointing out that seven former NY State Teachers of the Year have written to protest the new "value-added" measures from student test scores. From the principal's perspective, 2010 NY State Outstanding Educator, Ms. Carol Corbett Burris, points out several scenarios where good teachers could encounter the axe.
