May 27, 2014

MYSTERY SCIENCE: $500K to SF-based Mystery Science in a seed round from LearnCapital, NewSchools Venture Fund, 500 Startups and LePort Schools, reports TechCrunch. Founded by a former Facebook product manager and a former science teacher, the startup offers inquiry-based science lessons for grades K-8 using short (2 mins) videos, classroom discussions and hands-on exercises. It’s piloted with a couple dozen teaches so far but is opening the platform to interested schools.
