Mom hacks school system to change grades

Jul 24, 2012

BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY: VentureBeat gives this Mom an 'A' for effort even if the court might hand her a fine and prison sentence. Officials at Northwestern Lehigh School District noticed something was fishy when online gradebooks were repeatedly accessed by an administrator account. Turns out the perpetrator was a former secretary hellbent on changing her children's grades. This level of audacity calls to mind the archetype of the "'snowplow parents,' who try to clear every obstacle from their children's path," as covered in a recent New Yorker article on overparenting and "adultesence."
