HARK THE HERALD ANGELS: CB Insights, in conjunction with Silicon Valley Bank and Angel Resource Institute, released its inaugural 2011 HALO Report on angels' investment trends. Based on 573 deals totaling $873.3 million invested, the report breaks down activities by geographic region and industry sectors. We're a little disappointed to see that education did not get its own category. It may be lumped in with Internet and consumer products, or that dreaded "Other" category. Read the full report.
