Makerspace event in San Mateo kicks off Department of Education bus tour

MAKING "MAKERS"--THE SEQUEL: This is going to be fun: On the afternoon of Monday, Sept. 10, EdSurge and O'Reilly Media are teaming up again, this time to launch the autumn MENTOR Makerspace program and kick off the U.S. Department of Education's third annual back-to-school bus tour. Ten pilot high schools in the Bay Area will have Maker labs this year. Lots of cool people will be on hand to share thoughts about how to create Makerspaces and foster innovation in education. The gathering will be held at the College of San Mateo, Sept. 10, from 3:45 - 7:00 pm. Tickets will be free to those who register and we're still working out the logistics. (Check here.) We hope to see you--and plenty of local educators--there!
