Learn Zillion: Here's a cool concept: two dozen teachers, each creating 25 video lessons (3 to 5 minutes long) all linked to the Common Core math standards, grades 3-9. The teachers' reward for each creating the videos: $1,000, HP TouchSmart notebooks and software. The end product will be available for free. (Funders include: the Gates Foundation, NewSchools Venture Fund, the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation and individuals.) We're looking forward to seeing the result--for now, you can peek at the demo site.
