Learning Games Network: MIT Education Arcade's non-profit spinoff Learning Games Network received a $1.99M grant from the Gates Foundation to expand Xenos, a social learning gaming for Hispanic adults learning English (ESL) in libraries and workplaces. This virtual world platform, currently piloted at sites like Boston and SF public libraries, allows players to play games and activities that support English Learning. More info here.
