INIGRAL announced receiving $3.25 million last month from the Gates Foundation and Retro Venture Partners. (The Gates Foundation also gave Inigral $2 million in January 2011, marking its first investment in a for-profit company.) The SF-based company will use funds to continue development and expansion of its Schools App, a Facebook application that allow universities and students connect with one another to foster engagement with peers and the campus community.
