First Thiel fellow sells company

Jun 27, 2012

PRIDEWORTHY: James Proud has done his surname a service by becoming one of the first Thiel fellow success stories. Part of the inaugural 2011 class, Proud has sold his company, Giglocator, for an undisclosed but six-figure sum to music entrepreneur, Peter Shapiro. (The service offered a means to track and purchase tickets for concerts based on one's musical interest, but the site's gone dark.)
