FINGERPRINT: $1.4 million in seed funding from K2MediaLabs, THQ, Reed Elsevier Ventures and Suffolk Holdings. Based in San Fran, Fingerprint is led by a team of super successful titans including Nancy MacIntyre (formerly LeapFrog) and Brad Edelman (co-founder of Playfirst--or better known by its hit Diner Dash). In October they will launch their first set of four mobile edtech apps for the 3-8 year old set that lets Mom or Dad know how the kids are progressing through the game. What we like: Fingerprint is also building a developer platform with an SDK so others can put the technology into their games. iOS first and later Android. Details in PaidContent here. Game on!
