Digital Textbook Startup Inkling Scores $17M

Aug 10, 2011

Inkling: Textbook startup, Inkling, inked a $17 million deal with investors including Jafco Ventures, Pearson Education, and Sequoia Capital. That's sweet, especially given the $30 million in third round support that competitor Kno lined up in May with Advance Publications, Inc., Andreessen Horowitz, First Round Capital, FLOODGATE, Intel Capital, Ron Conway, Silicon Valley Bank, SV Angels and TriplePoint Capital. What we're sure this means: kids won't be lugging home grandpa's ol' textbooks much longer.
