DOING THE MATH: Just because it sounds like a great deal doesn’t mean it is. The San Jose Merc holds iPads to the fire and calculates that these books will be far pricer than plain ol’ texts. Elsewhere, SlugBooks founder Mr. Dave Miller also charges that digital books cost students more than used textbooks. Sounds like material for an excellent word problem to us.
