CALCULATED AFFECTION: Oh, the lengths that textbook publishers will go in order to provide stories and contexts for math problems, health tips, and driver safety. Check out this Tumblr blog, "Thanks, Textbooks," from textbook vendor Karl, who sells textbooks for a living but seems a tad jaded with the job. Its hard to blame him when you have questions like “The ratio of hugs to kisses at the family reunion was 4:1.
