CHANGING THE GUARD: Smoothwall, a Leeds, England-based provider of web filtering, monitoring and security services, has purchased Safeguard Software, a schools record management software provider based in Blackpool, England. The terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2001, Smoothwall made the purchase to expand its monitoring and record keeping services, according to a post on Smoothwall’s website Monday. Smoothwall claims to serve more than four million users and partners in over 60 countries. The company previously formed an integration partnership with Safeguard in November so that people could use technologies from both companies. Safeguard was founded in 2015.
