ENGLISH WITH AN APP: Lingumi, a English language-learning startup, has raised £1.2 million (approximately $1.7 million) in a seed funding round led by ADV, TechCrunch reports.
Based in the UK, Lingumi aims to teach English to children between the ages of 2 and 6. The company offers an app as well as physical products including flashcards. According to TechCrunch, Lingumi claims 10,000 users, largely in in Western Europe, Taiwan and China, and the company plans to use its latest raise to further develop its products and “scale the learning platform into new markets.”
