Springboard Raises $9.5M to Help Professional Learners Upskill

Dec 18, 2017

SPRINGBOARD, a San Francisco-based provider of short courses designed to help professionals advance in their careers, has raised $9.5 million in a Series A round led by Costanoa Ventures. Learn Capital, Jyoti Bansal, Blue Fog Capital, Rocketship.vc and Moneta Ventures also chipped in.

Founded in 2013, Springboard (formerly known as SlideRule) offers three- to six-month courses in areas such as data science, design and digital marketing. Pricing options range from $500 per month to $7,500 for the entire course. For some “career track” programs, students are paired with a mentor from the industry and are guaranteed a job upon graduation—or their money back.

The company claims its courses have been taken by more than 7,000 students. More details from the press release.
