Google Classroom Opens Up To Personal Accounts

Mar 16, 2017

G SUITE EDUCATION FOR ALL: Google Classroom has a new update to add to the list. Recognizing that not all learning takes place in a classroom with rows of desks and a chalkboard, the company announced today that teachers and students can now use the tool via their personal Google accounts. That means new Classroom users can join existing class accounts, share and manage assignments, and soon, set up classes of their own—all without a G Suite for Education account. The company says the expansion aims to give administrators more flexibility in non-traditional education settings such as homeschooling or after school education programs.
