MICROMASTERS: A degree from Columbia University, UPENN, or Boston University might be closer (and cheaper) than you think. Massive open online course (a.k.a MOOC) platform edX has announced it's added 16 new MicroMasters programs from 12 university partners including Columbia, Georgia Tech, UC San Diego and more. The credit-eligible programs, which range from business analytics to cybersecurity and data science, arrive in addition to the platform's 19 existing MicroMasters offerings, which launched back in September 2016.
