How Will EQUIP Participants Operate? Read Their Full Applications

Oct 19, 2016

WHAT’S THE PLAN? In August, the U.S. Department of Education announced eight partnerships between higher-ed institutions and nontraditional education providers for which students can enroll using federal financial aid. The EQUIP pilot includes programs from coding bootcamps, online courses and employer organizations offered in partnership with colleges and universities. Today the department released the applications for each of the eight partnerships selected to participate.

The applications vary, but readers can see how each partnership plans to award credit, manage student data privacy and security, and recruit students, among other details. The department released the full applications for “everyone to see what was possible” Sharon Leu, senior policy advisor for higher education innovation at the department, said in a tweet.
