OpenSesame Closes $9M in Series B Funding

OPEN LEARNING: Portland-based OpenSesame has closed $9 million in Series B funding led by Altos Ventures and Partech Ventures. The online learning company offers about 20,000 courses for some 2,000 enterprises for employees to develop their skills. Companies like Toshiba, Estee Lauder and Wyndham Hotel Group use the service, according to OpenSesame. The funding will be used to grow its sales, marketing and customer experience. OpenSesame says it also has plans to keep growing overseas and use training technologies like augmented and virtual reality.
