Frontline Education Acquires Excent Corporation, Expands Special Ed Data Management

Sep 6, 2016

MANAGING DATA: Software company Frontline Education has acquired Excent Corporation, a data management solution for special education. Frontline offers a unified platform where educators can manage everything from recruiting and hiring to professional growth, and the company claims some 8,500 academic organizations and millions of educators and administrators use the platform.

This is Frontline’s second acquisition of a special education data management solution, having acquired Centris Group earlier this year. According to Frontline, today’s acquisition of Excent will expand its Student Solutions portfolio and Section 504 and Medicaid solutions. Terms of the acquisition were not released, but Frontline says it will keep Excent personnel.
