WOULD YOU LIKE SOME CODE WITH YOUR CHOCOLATE? Gastronomy and programming collide with Glicode, a mobile app created by Glico, the Japanese maker of popular “Pocky” sticks. In the game, children must guide a character through a series of obstacles. Here’s where things get tasty: children must orient and arrange Pocky sticks in different ways, and snap a photo, in order to give commands. The game will give kids a taste (sorry….) of sequencing, looping, if-statements and randomization—IF, of course, they can resist the eating all the sugar-covered biscuits. (Hat tip to The Verge.)
