Northwestern Starts up a Coding Bootcamp

Jul 19, 2016

‘CAUSE CODERS ARE SOLDIERS: Northwestern falls in line behind a series of universities creating their own coding boot camps for working professionals. Its new 24-week program will teach working adults the basics of coding at night and on the weekends as a way for them to skill up. The Northwestern Coding Boot Camp will run from September 26 to April 1, competing with other major boot camps in Chicago, as Northwestern doesn’t market the program to current students. The program will ring up around $9500, with a $500 discount for Northwestern alumni.

Trilogy Education Services provides the curriculum, recruitment and career services, and has created boot camps for clients like UNC-Chapel Hill, UT Austin and Rutgers. This style of partnership is different than Northeastern's “Level,” a homegrown data analytics boot camp.
