Early Adopters: 65 Percent of Early Childhood Teachers Use Tech Daily in Classrooms

Mar 3, 2016

EARLY ADOPTERS: Whether in schools or at home, kids are getting exposed to technology at younger ages. In a survey of 822 pre-kindergarten educators, nearly 88 percent report using technology in their classroom at least once a week; 65 percent use it daily. The survey, commissioned by Teaching Strategies, examines teachers’ attitudes towards tech tools. Instructional use, documentation and assessment are the most popular use cases. By far, tablets are the most popular device of choice, with nearly 80 percent saying they are the most effective for their classrooms. Desktop computers (51 percent) take second place, followed by digital cameras (46 percent).
