Code.org Offers Free Computer Science PD Courses for Educators

Feb 24, 2016

FOR TEACHERS WHO DON'T KNOW HOW TO CODE, understanding how to bring coding and computer science into the classroom can be challenging. To help out, Code.org is currently accepting K-12 teachers into its professional learning program. From computer science fundamentals for elementary students to AP Computer Science for high school students, Code.org's PD courses offer something for any teacher—mostly for free. All online courses are free, as are in-person PD workshops for elementary teachers. For high school and middle school teachers, workshops are free if those teachers' districts are partners of Code.org.
