COURSEHORSE has raised a $4 million Series B round from existing investors and Red Ventures, which led the round. Founded in 2011, CourseHorse makes a marketplace for people to find, enroll in and review local in-person classes. It plans to expand beyond NYC, LA and Chicago and to grow its engineering team with the new funding. In the press release for the funding, the New York-based company claimed to work with to offer 70,000 classes to 200,000 members through various providers. CourseHorse also said that it has tripled its monthly net revenue and inventory and doubled its user base since 2014.
