Technology Will Save Us Raises $1.8M Seed Round

TECHNOLOGY WILL SAVE US: God may save the queen, but Technology Will Save Us with its seed round of £1.2 million (approximately US $1.8 million). SAATCHiNVEST led the round; European seed-stage VC fund Backed and a "substantial retail investor" also participated, according to the company. Founded in 2012, the evangelically named company makes makes the BBC micro:bit and six kits for kids ages four and up to build electronic gadgets. The founders, husband and wife Daniel Hirschmann and Bethany Koby, plan to expand their product line and retail partnerships with the funding. The company is based in East London.
