SlideRule Raises $1.7M for Technical Professional Development Platform, Rebrands as Springboard

Dec 16, 2015

SLIDERULE has raised a $1.7 million seed round. Investors included Allen Blue, co-founder of LinkedIn, John Katzman, founder of The Princeton Review, 500 Startups, Blue Fog Capital and several other company founders. The San Francisco-based company provides online professional development courses for people pursuing careers in user experience design and data science, matching them with mentors as they complete their courses. Founded in 2013 as a search engine for online courses, SlideRule is now rebranding itself as Springboard, a name those in charge feel more accurately reflects the company's mission.
