NWEA to Administrator OECD 'Test for Schools'

Nov 20, 2015

PASSING THE TORCH: Looks like NWEA, provider of the popular MAP exam, will now also administer the OECD Test for Schools Pisa Exam to US students, beginning in the fall of 2016. Is it just us, or does it seem like the biggest exams in this country are managed by a tiny number of organizations? (ETS and Pearson, we’re looking at you.)

Editor's Note: NWEA reports that it is not administering the OECD PISA exam, but the "OECD Test for Schools," an "assessment is based on the PISA framework, developed by OECD and therefore comparable to those results, but a separate assessment from PISA." The blurb above has been updated to reflect this.
