Oct 30, 2015

MONEY FOR FINANCIAL EDUCATION: Apptuto, a financial education application, has raised $500,000 in angel investment, according to a press release. Individual investors include Michael Staton, a partner at Learn Capital, and executives from Google, HSBC, Macquarie Bank, and Delta Partners Group. The platform, which graduated from 500 Startups accelerator program, offers tutoring and exam preparation for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program. The exam is a quality seal for professionals in the investment management field. Apptuto CEO Nicholas Cooper wants to use the investment to improve the app learning system, which is based in social and mobile learning and uses gamification techniques.
