CENGAGE LEARNING, a Boston, MA-based publishing and technology company, has acquired Pathbrite’s ePortfolio tool, used by 900 K-20 institutions to help students showcase their work and experience. Terms of the deal were not disclosed in the release; the majority of the Pathbrite team will be joining Cengage. (Former Pathbrite CEO Heather Hiles will be Senior Education Advisor.) Cengage invested in Pathbrite’s $3.7 million round in June 2014.
