LET'S BE FRIENDS: Learning management system provider Schoology has picked up a new client: the Los Angeles Unified School District. The LAUSD School Board and Schoology released the details of the $598,240 contract for the public to parse through, giving a rare peek inside some of the steps and numbers involved. According to the board's notes, 10 to 20 LAUSD schools will try Schoology for one year (10/14/15 through 6/30/16), after which the Board will vote on whether to approve extending Schoology to all K-12 schools, with the total contract value not to exceed $6,436,012.
